David Bowie Fan Club Application

The things you can find inside record sleeves are terrific time capsules from whenever the album was bought. Take this receipt from inside David Bowie’s Diamond Dogs:

Apparently this record was bought on July 23, 1975. Not quite when the album was first released (May 24, 1974) but close!

The real find, however, is this application for the David Bowie fan club:

“Are you a member of the Mick Ronson Fan Club?” Hard to imagine someone being a member of Mick Ronson’s fan club BEFORE joining David Bowie’s, but 1975 was a different time.
